  2. Day2 Zittau – Görlitz Distance: approx. 45 km

Your tour begins in the region of Oberlausitz. Cycle along the romantic Neisse to Ostritz. You can visit Germany’s oldest Cistercian convent there. Today’s destination is the medieval town of Görlitz. Spend the night there.

  3. Day3 Görlitz – Bad Muskau Distance: approx. 65 km

Cycle through Rothenburg, Germany’s small city closest to the Polish border, to Bad Muskau. Enjoy the ride through idyllic surroundings on your way to the spa town. The Prince Pückler Park was laid out by count Hermann of Pückler-Muskau in 1815-1845. Stay overnight in Bad Muskau.

  4. Day4 Bad Muskau – Guben Distance: approx. 57 km

Today’s leg of the tour takes you along the border to Brandenburg and Forst, the “city of roses and cloth-makers”. On your way to Guben you will pass huge craters left behind due to brown coal mining. Stay overnight in Guben.

  5. Day5 Guben – Frankfut/Oder Distance: approx. 63 km

Most of today’s stretch takes you north along the ‘Oberdamm’ to Frankfurt/Oder. Cycle through Eisenhüttenstadt (known for its iron and steel production) and the Polish town of Cybinka/Zebingen. Spend the night in the university town, Frankfurt/Oder.

  6. Day6 Frankfut/Oder – Bad Freienwalde Distance: approx. 52 km

The bicycle trail leads you into the Oderbruch delta. The man-made delta was created over 250 years ago for settlers. Leaving the Oder, cycle west to Bad Freienwalde. The spa town is the oldest in Mark Brandenburg and has a historic town centre. The classical castle and park designed by Lenné is worth seeing. Stay overnight in or near Bad Freienwalde.

  7. Day7 Bad Freienwalde – Schwedt Distance: approx. 50 km

Further on down the Oder is the national park, Unteres Odertal. The unique river landscape awaits you. Visit the fortified tower from the 12th century, the ‘Grützpott’, for a great view of the Oder valley. Spend the night in or near Schwedt.
