  1. Day1 Arrival in Faro

    Transfer (optional)  from Faro to the hotel in Silves, place where you’ll start your journey. The Castel of Silves, the finest example of the Islamic architecture of the country, it’s a must see in your trip to the village.

  2. Day2 From Silves to Caldas de Monchique - 28km

    Cycling by the quiet roads and tracks you’ll make your way involved in a superb environment of mountain up to Caldas de Monchique.

  3. Day3 From Caldas de Monchique to Santa Clara-a-Velha – 39km

    Follow the trajectory that offers you sensational views over the mountain of Monchique covered by pine-tree, eucalyptus, chestnuts, holm oaks, among others.

  4. Day4 From Santa Clara-a-Velha to Odemira – 48km

    The peaceful roads and tracks will lead you through traditional villages and cafes where you can taste some delicacies of the region.

  5. Day5 From Odemira to Aljezur – 75km

    Emerging in the beauty of the Vicentina Coast, reenters the region of Algarve in “Praia de Odeceixe” one of the seven wonderful beaches of Portugal. Take some time to involve in this magnificent environment.

    • 75km (passing close the coast) / or 54km (passing inland – recommended the use in case bed weather)
  6. Day6 From Aljezur to Aldeia da Pedralva – 40km

    Crossing a rail mostly in off road track between the valleys of the mountains of the Algarve, you’ll be guided to the comfort of the nature and the beaches that Carrapateira offers.

  7. Day7 From Aldeia da Pedralva to Sagres – 45km

    Cycling along the coast the route offers exceptional views over the Atlantic with wonderful cliffs, to the fishing activity and to some unique monuments of the history of Portugal.

  8. Day8 End of trip

    End of trip (Transfer (optional) from Sagres to the airport to you way back home, or stay some extra nights in the marvelous called Algarve)

The itinerary is designed for quieter roads and off road tracks, conquered by the sound of nature, and with a view to pleasing the safety and well-being.

It features mostly flat terrain with an average of one / two medium ascents per day. With an average of 45 km per day, easily crossed. routes are supported by detailed roadbook that is provided.

Temperature 
Blessed with over 300 days of sunshine, the Algarve offers excellent temperatures to enjoy a cycling route at any time of year. Average temperatures vary between 15 degrees in January until the 30 degrees in August and 20 degrees in November.

Getting to Faro
Plane – You can book your airfare directly to Faro Airport or Lisbon Airport (with any connection to Faro by Bus or Train).
